Drip Line is a café and gathering place in the heart of West Oakland. We’re serving up simple, inventive food and flavors to this industrial-area enclave. We feature tasty, signature California and internationally-influenced cuisine, handcrafted by vivacious Executive Chef Nora Dunning in a space that is aesthetically intentional. Touching people, businesses and neighborhoods.
We offer small-batch drip coffee, espresso, and a seasonal breakfast, lunch and grab-n-go menu, influenced by our diverse heritages. Daily fare may include the mouthwatering sambal shrimp and coconut grits, congee with bird’s eye kosho, California style gado-gado with peanut sambal and kaya toast. Pristine to complex flavors speak to our taste buds and sense of place: sweet, sour, bitter, salty and spicy.
We’ve partnered with coffee roasters, tea infusers, and local farms, all of whom we’ve gotten to know and admire–to showcase the best of the East (and San Francisco) Bay. With a focus on seasonal ingredients and sustainable sourcing, we are inspired by their deeply rooted sense of place here in Oakland, their unwavering commitment to craft, and their passion for beautiful products and service. We are proud to showcase both emerging and established talents to compliment our menu, in an effort to bring a delicious and diverse sampling of local talent to our block. We are committed to creating a unique space for local residents, artisans and designers to sip, savor, and talk shop, so it’s only fitting that we feature our friends and fellow craftspeople in the process.
